  Technical Requirements

You will need a few essential items to view the Online Courseware. Just like having a pen and paper for traditional classes, the following Hardware and Software items are required: First on your checklist is a computer. To take full advantage of the interactivity of the courses, the following system profiles are REQUIRED:

Windows 95, 98, or NT MacOs 7.5.1 or Later 75 MHz Pentium or faster processor Power PC Processor 16 MB of RAM or more 16 MB of RAM or more* 28.8 kbps modem or faster 28.8 kbps modem or faster Sound Card Speakers Speakers

* Note MACs: If you are using version 4.0 or higher of Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape's Navigator, 32 MB of RAM is required. Note: Courseware cannot be accessed using Web TV Second on your list is an Internet Service Provider (ISP). An ISP is a company that can provide you with the software necessary for getting onto the Internet. Contact your local ISP to set up your personal account, or call Tech Support at (303)873-0005 for more Information about finding an ISP in your area. Another good resource for finding an ISP is http://thelist.internet.com. ALL courses are conducted entirely over the Internet. Therefore, it is impossible to take online courses without an ISP. Third on your list is an email account. Your email address is established when you sign up with an ISP. Contact your ISP if you do not know your email address. The final items you will need are a Java-capable browser and the Real Player. For the Java-capable browser we recommend Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.01 (or higher) or Netscape® Navigator 4.0x (or higher). When you select an ISP, you will most likely receive either Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator with your service. If not, you can download either of these browsers for free by clicking on the icons below.
